Municipal Credit Union Donates $5,000 to Brooklyn Hospital Center's Fight Against Cancer

NEW YORK CITY –   As part of the first MCU Shoot For A Cure event, Municipal Credit Union (MCU) has donated $5,000 to the Brooklyn Hospital Center’s Fight Against Cancer. During a ceremony outside Brooklyn Borough Hall today, MCU Acting President/CEO Norman Kohn, who was joined by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and representatives of the Brooklyn Cyclones and St. John’s University, made the donation to the Brooklyn Hospital Center to support its effort to bring colon cancer screenings to high-risk areas.
 
More than 5,000 people participated in the week-long MCU Shoot For A Cure by shooting a basketball and signing the Wall of Remembrance in support of their loved ones who have been affected by the disease. Participants included employees of many NYC departments and community partners, including the NYCDOE, NYPD, FDNY, NYC Votes, St. John’s University, the UFT, and the Brooklyn Hospital Center.

We are committed to continuing to live our mission through programs like these in our local communities.”
