This summer, 1st Liberty FCU gave their members and those who serve a fun way to beat the heat and have some fun with two favorite summertime activities – baseball and swimming. In June, the credit union hosted its annual Military and Member Appreciation Night at the Great Falls Voyagers Stadium, giving their members and those serving in the military the chance to enjoy a free night at the ballpark with their families and friends (complete with a drink and the chance to catch a t-shirt). In July, the credit union celebrated National Water Park Day by providing free admission to all military families at Electric City Water Park.

1st Liberty CEO Steve Grooms said, “We talk about giving back to the communities we serve, this is a small example where we are able to do so … and it is a lot of fun!” Both events were a success – attendance for at the baseball game topped 2,500, more than doubling the normal weeknight crowd. 1st Liberty staff were pleased to be able show their gratitude to “those who serve our county so well.” Referring to a sign at the Voyager’s ballpark that reads, “Nobody touches bases like we do,” Steve noted that “we sincerely strive every day to live up to this mission.” It’s true! What a good example of the CU Difference!
