Elgin, IL, August 1, 2018: KCT Credit Union’s downtown Elgin branch is open as of Thursday, July 5, 2018. This branch is located in Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave. Elgin, IL, off the left side of the main entrance. This new opportunity allows KCT to be at a location in the midst of the community, where both non-profits will work together to provide financial literacy education to all ages, in order to help people live better lives financially. KCT Members and area residents are invited to visit this branch to do business, become members, and learn more about KCT. There will also be a Grand Opening Event held at the same location on Wednesday, August 1 to officially launch the opening of this new branch.

KCT Credit Union has been partners with Gail Borden Public Library since 1985. As partners, KCT has been involved in activities with Gail Borden, such as the summer reading program and financial seminars for staff and the community.

With the opening of this branch, KCT has launched new youth accounts, a youth savings account and teen checking account. These accounts come with the support of financial literacy and activities to help children and teens learn the importance of saving and managing their money well.
