Middletown, Pa. (July 12, 2018) – Success was the theme of the day as 22 members of the Global Women’s Leadership Network Pa. Sister Society volunteered with Dress for Success in various locations throughout the month of June. For the second year in a row, credit union women and men from all over Pennsylvania participated in different Dress for Success initiatives coordinated through the Pa. Sister Society’s Community Committee.

On June 14, 2018, volunteers sorted and organized donations at the Harrisburg Mall in Harrisburg, Pa. Volunteers in Allegheny and Fayette counties also spent the day sorting and organizing donations on June 19. On June 25, credit union women from Erie County donated their time, while volunteers in Luzerne county assisted with registration and golf hole spotter positions during the Dress for Success Links Fore Success Golf Outing.

Volunteers sorted clothes and jewelry at the Erie County Dress for Success office on June 25, 2018. “We chose to continue our community work with Dress for Success because it’s an organization that’s near and dear to our hearts,” said Erin Doan, co-chair of the Community Committee and administration and community relations director for Vizo Financial. “As an organization that promotes women’s empowerment, it’s a charity that the Sister Society and its members have really put their support behind, and it shows in our fantastic turnout.”

Jaime Agostino, co-chair of the Community Committee and marketing director for Vizo Financial, added, “The PA Sister Society has members from all over the state, so we’ve been fortunate to be granted volunteer opportunities with Dress for Success in several locations. It’s been a very successful event for us over the past two years, and one that we hope will keep building momentum in the future.”
