NAPERVILLE – July 9, 2018–DuPage Credit Union would like to thank everyone who braved rainy conditions and generously donated to its June 22nd Drive, Drop & Donate event. During the fifth-annual fundraiser, the Credit Union raised over $3,700 which will be used to purchase backpacks and school supplies for DuPage County students in need.

“We are truly amazed at the community’s generosity in supporting our efforts to help raise funds for local students in need,” said Amy Brandt, Vice President of Business Solutions at DuPage Credit Union. “Without your kindness, many children would face the first day of school without a backpack or essential tools, like notebooks and pens, to succeed in the classroom.”

Backpacks, stuffed with essential school supplies, will be handed out to students attending the Catholic Charities Annual Back-to-School Fair in August, which benefits DuPage County students in need through the DuPage Regional Office of Education.

To date, the Credit Union has surpassed its goal of $10,000 and has raised $12,368.00 to purchase supplies and backpacks; and will continue to take donations through July 31st. To make a donation or learn more, visit dupagecu.com/backpacks.

Thank you to our Drive, Drop & Donate sponsor, The Rusin-Fulco Realty Group for their generous support.
