(Somerville, MA) Naveo Credit Union partnered with their neighbors 4GoodVibes, a gift shop that sells hip products from local artisans and crafters, to host a fundraiser to benefit rare cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Naveo was able to raise $500 through its staff and member donations, which were matched.  4GoodVibes raised nearly $1,000.

4GoodVibes, owned by four sisters, hosted a fundraiser June 23 and 24 in honor of their mom who is battling breast cancer. Naveo collaborated with 4GoodVibes in hopes of increasing the overall donation amount to Dana Farber. Naveo’s fundraiser kicked off June 22 with an employee jeans day, allowing employees to trade in their traditional work attire in exchange for a $5+ donation to Dana Farber. In addition, Naveo members were able to donate at the branches through June 30.

“Our members and staff always step up whenever we participate in a fundraiser. We are grateful for their generosity because together we make a greater impact. We’re honored to participate in such a worthy cause with our neighbors at 4GoodVibes in bringing awareness and much-needed funds to rare cancer research,” commented Rui F. Domingos, Chief Executive Officer at Naveo Credit Union.
