PIERRE, S.D., June 15, 2018 – Black Hills Federal Credit Union recently presented a $1,000 donation to the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area in support of their Blue Door Society fundraising campaign, which helps provide vital funds for the organization’s programs, services and operating costs.
With hundreds of young people utilizing the Club’s services, the main objective of the Blue Door Society is to promote academic success, good character and citizenship, and a healthy lifestyle. BHFCU’s donation will help the non-profit organization provide even more opportunities for youth in the Pierre community to grow and reach their full potential.
“The Boys and Girls Club plays a vital role in the lives of young people,” said Chris McConnell, BHFCU’s Pierre Member Service Center manager. “They offer a number of different programs that help area youth aspire to a great future. BHFCU is proud to partner with this incredible organization, and together, we’re improving lives in our community.”
