NorthCountry FCU Supports Northern Vermont University with Gift of $125,000
June 13, 2018
An initiative of Northern Vermont University, the Lyndonville Coworking Space will provide entrepreneurs, remote workers, and other independent professionals a place to work and collaborate on ideas. It will help revitalize downtown and strengthen the connection between NVU-Lyndon and the Lyndonville community.
For NorthCountry Federal Credit Union, it was a perfect fit to support community development and educational opportunities in the Lyndonville area. NorthCountry CEO Bob Morgan explains “We are committed to the economic health and vitality of the greater Lyndon area. Small and micro businesses have an especially significant impact on the community, and a modern coworking space will support their growth and expansion.”
NorthCountry also supports higher education in Vermont, and the extension of Northern Vermont University’s presence to downtown Lyndonville. Through the coworking space, nearby residents will gain improved access to the university’s offerings, and awareness of the resources the university offers. Over the past few years, the credit union has witnessed and experienced the economic growth occurring in the Northeast Kingdom, and fully expects the coworking space to be a catalyst for growth and small business success well into the future.
