Connex Donates More Than $400 to Common Ground High School

Hamden, Conn (May 25, 2018) - Connex Credit Union recently donated more than $400 to Common Ground High School in support of the organization’s mission. These funds were raised through Coins-forChange, Connex’s philanthropic program that contributes more than $13,000 annually to local charitable organizations as part of the ConnexCares initiative.

Common Ground High School is a Hamden-based High School that specializes in urban farm, and environmental education while focusing on important global and local environmental issues. “We are genuinely grateful to Connex Credit Union, and all of its members, for your kind support of Common Ground High School. Public charter schools like Common Ground receive significantly less funding than do other local public schools -- and we can only offer our students the high-quality learning opportunities that they deserve because our neighbors step up to lend your support.” Said Liz Cox, Director of Common Ground High School. “It's because of donations like yours that 100% of our last graduating class gained admissions to college.”

Each fiscal quarter, 100 percent of this money is donated to deserving organizations in the local community.
