North Dakota Housing Finance Agency recognized its outstanding partners as Champions of Affordable Housing at the Statewide Housing Conference held recently. Through NDHFA’s homeownership programs individuals and families, which are typically firsttime buyers, receive lowcost financing, and down payment and closing cost assistance.

Among the lending institutions and individuals recognized was First Community Credit Union and loan officer, Tanya Nenow, who received the 2018 Champion of Affordable Housing Individual Lender Award.

“The Champions Awards recognize and celebrate the work of individuals, nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and private sector businesses who go above and beyond to provide affordable housing for North Dakotans.” said Jolene Kline, NDHFA executive director.

NDHFA's lender awards are based on participation in its homeownership programs and involvement in locally sponsored affordable housing projects and events. In addition to honoring lending institutions that originated the loans, mortgage loan officers that actively promoted the agency's programs were also recognized.

“Congratulations to the mortgage team.  The entire group works hard to get our borrower’s into their new homes and to be recognized by NDHFA is an honor,” said Mary Radenz, VP of Mortgage Lending.  “Congratulations to Tanya on her individual award as well.  She is committed to helping her borrowers achieve home ownership by helping them make informed decisions and finding the loan that best suits their needs.”
