Verity Credit Union Supports Bicycle Education and Activities in Community
May 16, 2018
Seattle, WA, May 15, 2018– Verity Credit Union and Cascade Bicycle Club are partnering up to promote bicycle education and activities across the Puget Sound area.
The biggest part of the partnership revolves around educating children and encouraging them to be active. Verity is providing financial support for the Let’s Go education program, a bicycle and pedestrian safety curriculum offered in local school districts. The experiential education program targets multiple learning styles and uses bicycles to bring the students together. In the 2016-17 school year, more than 21,000 students participated from 96 schools.
Verity is also supporting three of Cascade Bicycle Club’s riding events: Flying Wheels, Woodinville Wine Ride, and STP (Seattle to Portland). Event goers will be able to visit with Verity staff at the events, receive bike-related goodies, learn about Verity’s bicycle loan program, and see what makes Verity a different kind of financial institution.
Verity Credit Union is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in Washington and serves members from seven branches throughout the Puget Sound.
Verity is committed to the communities it serves and supports the needs and initiatives of those communities by offering unique products, including loans for bicycles and solar panels.
Cascade Bicycle Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving people’s lives through bicycling. The organization offers events, education courses and promotes bicycling safety.
