Credit Union Establishes Fund for Hit and Run Victim

alturaRiverside, Calif. - Altura Credit Union has set up a fund to help a local family deal with medical expenses for their young daughter who was critically injured in a hit and run crash on April 22 in Riverside.

The family of Carlie Rodriquez set up the account last week for the little girl who turned 5 on Friday while in a medically induced coma. She remains in
critical condition.� According to Riverside Police, Carlie was injured when her familys car was broadsided by a suspected street racer who fled the scene on foot following the crash. The child was rushed to Loma Linda University Hospital. Her father, who was driving the car, was not injured. Carlie, who was in a booster seat, suffered severe head and neck injuries.
