Madison, Wis. – May 7, 2018 – UW Credit Union has been selected for the second time as one of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Top Workplaces. Award winners are honored for creating outstanding organizations, based on employees’ evaluation of their experience. Rated for best practices in organizational health, UW Credit Union was selected by employees as a leader in workplace engagement.

The award ranks southeastern Wisconsin companies on employee engagement factors such as professional development, work/life balance and compensation, and recognizes organizations that inspire their employees both professionally and personally. Creating a workplace culture that allows employees to reach their full potential, UW Credit Union has consistently been recognized for high engagement that cultivates participation, achievement and teamwork, resulting in top member satisfaction scores.

Energage (formerly known as WorkplaceDynamics), a leading research and consulting firm specializing in workplace improvement, conducted a confidential employee survey to gauge satisfaction on a range of key factors to assess organizational health.

“We’re delighted to be honored as one of Milwaukee’s top employers once again,” says Paul Kundert, President & CEO. “We support our employees with a competitive benefits package, opportunities for career growth and an inclusive workplace culture. As a result, the quality service and excellence they deliver builds trust with our members.”

UW Credit Union is a four-time winner of Madison Magazine’s Best Places to Work Award and is also a three-time winner of the CUNA Human Resource Training and Development Council Excellence Award for Employee Engagement. Consumer Reports ranked UW Credit Union first in customer satisfaction among Wisconsin financial institutions evaluated.

“Because our employee satisfaction scores are high, we’re able to recruit individuals who have a commitment to member service,” says Luisa Herrera, Director of Member Sales and Service in the greater Milwaukee area. “We continue to grow and have opportunities for individuals who share our core value of acting in the members’ best interest. People enjoy working here because we care about employees in the same way we do our members.”
