Hanscom FCU Collects nearly 2,000 Books for Children's Book Drive

Hanscom AFB, MA (May 3, 2018) – Hanscom Federal Credit Union has collected and contributed 1,929 books for the children’s book drive sponsored by the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA). The books are distributed by the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless nonprofit agencies in cities and communities across the commonwealth.
This is the 18th consecutive year Hanscom FCU has been a major contributor to the drive, and since 2008 they’ve collected 35,566 books for the cause. “It’s difficult to imagine a childhood without a favorite bedtime story or a book that makes a lifelong impression,” said Paul Marotta, Chairman of the Board for Hanscom FCU and Chairman of the CCUA Social Responsibility Committee. “We are committed to ensuring every child in Massachusetts has books that entertain, enrich, and engage.”
