America's Christian CU Gives Back $35K in 1st Quarter
April 17, 2018
America’s Christian Credit Union (ACCU) is pleased to announce over $35,ooo in donations have been given to Kingdom-building organizations during the first quarter of the year. ACCU’s simple but commanding mission statement “To Reach, Serve, and Teach” continues to shine in the credit union’s philanthropic work.
During a recent staff meeting, ACCU President/CEO, Mendell L. Thompson presented Craig Coulter, Senior Pastor of Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene in Oro Valley, AZ, a check for $2,500 to support the church’s Special Needs Ministry program, as part of ACCU’s Visa® Giveback program. Each quarter ACCU gives back to four top tier ministries; each of these ministries provides essential services and makes a meaningful impact in their communities. At the close of the first quarter in 2018, the program gave back to New Beginnings Adoption & Family Services (Tupelo, MS), The Legacy Center (New York, NY), The World Mission Broadcast project of the Church of the Nazarene (Kansas City, MO) and Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene for a total of $12,630!
ACCU’s charitable giving to local non-profit organizations in the first quarter was further fueled by generous employee donations and by the Live the Mission (LTM) program. LTM promotes and challenges employee volunteerism by awarding points to employees for volunteering at the end of each quarter to top performers.
