Mountain America donated $50 for every three-point basket made by the Jazz during the 2012-13 season. Over the past decade, Mountain America has donated more than $125,000 to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. Marshall Paepke, executive vice president and chief administrative officer for Mountain America, presented the $25,000 check to Huntsman Cancer Foundation CEO David Huntsman during halftime of the final Utah Jazz regular season home game. In addition to the Huntsman gift, Mountain America recently donated more than $35,000 to two additional charities the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Shriners Hospitals for Children. This money was raised by employees through candy sales, lunch fundraisers, an auction and other activities. "Mountain America is committed to the philosophy of people helping people whether they are our members or our neighbors in the community," Paepke said. "This leads the credit union and our employees to partner with great organizations like Huntsman, the National MS Society, Shriners Hospitals and the Utah Jazz to help continue their work of improving peoples lives."
