Hanscom AFB, MA (April 6, 2018) – Over a dozen Senior Airmen graduated from Hanscom Air Force Base’s five-week long Airman Leadership School (ALS) on March 23, 2018. Hanscom Federal Credit Union sponsored the graduation ceremony as it has done in the past.

The ALS is the first professional military education that enlisted Air Force personnel encounter in their careers. The school prepares them for supervisory roles by strengthening their ability to lead, follow, and manage while helping them gain a broader understanding of their profession.

“These junior enlisted leaders deserve commendation for their hard work and dedication to their studies,” said Paul Marotta, Chairman of the Board of Hanscom Federal Credit Union. “They’re ready to lead in the 21st century, and we at Hanscom Federal Credit Union are proud of their achievements.”

The ALS at Hanscom AFB also includes students from the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Boston, 64th Air Refueling Squadron at Pease Air National Guard Base (157th Air Refueling Wing), Westover Air Reserve Base, Joint Base Andrews, 105th Airlift Wing of the New York Air National Guard, and Cape Code Air Force Station.

Hanscom Federal Credit Union, headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, serves over 81,000 members across the country and overseas through 20 branches, over 100,000 service centers and surcharge-free ATMs, 24-hour telephone service and a web-based branch.
