Embark CU Supports Women in Business

The Fire Within awards reception was recently held in Great Falls, MT. The event was hosted by Embark CU and the Great Falls Development Authority. For eight years the two organizations have honored exemplary women in business through this program. They recognized three area female entrepreneurs whose businesses are thriving with two awards -- one for a newer business owner and one who is more established -- and create a space where women entrepreneurs can celebrate their successes and connect with one another. Embark CEO Deb Evans said the credit union decided to support "this wonderful program" because "small businesses are the backbone of Great Falls and an increasing number are women-owned businesses." It makes sense. And, the program continues to build momentum as local women business owners come together, network, and meet people who can inspire and support them -- all ways of tending and stoking "The Fire Within."
