HONOLULU, HI – As part of its on-going commitment to supporting charitable organizations that serve Keiki in the community, HOCU (Honolulu Federal Credit Union) presented $5,825.25 raised from its 2nd Annual Keiki Miracle Day (KMD) and Christmas Bazaar to the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Hawaii (RMHC-Hawaii).

“The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii has provided an invaluable service to families of children with serious illnesses for more than 30 years,” said Mark Munemitsu, HOCU president and CEO. “And HOCU is proud to support the efforts of RMHC as they seek to deliver comfort at the most stressful times for these parents.”

“We are so appreciative of our donors, like HOCU, as they make it possible for our organization to care for many keiki and their families from Hawaii and the Pacific Rim,” said Jerri Chong, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii president. “Mahalo to the HOCU ohana for their support and generous donation.”

This year’s KMD theme was “Circus Fun” and included various retail pop-up shops, arts and crafts sales, balloon animals, face painting, games, food, entertainment by Stevo the clown and more. Various local vendors who participated, such as Aloha Cones, Waimanalo Lemonade and many others all donated a portion of their proceeds to support RMHC.
