April 25, 2013
CU Social Good, brought to you by the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD) has just teamed up with Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) by linking their organization to the website and posting CU4Kids stories about the great fundraising activities credit unions do for their local Childrens Miracle Network Hospital. This collaborative effort is sure to bring more attention to both CU Social Good and the CU4Kids organization. The CU Social Good Website now has a category just for CU4Kids stories, and the CU4Kids website will link back to CU Social Good for their Fundraising Highlights link.
CU Social Good was launched in January, 2013. The website has already posted over 700 stories about credit unions charitable donations, fundraising activities, volunteer work, financial literacy efforts, and scholarships.
CU4Kids is a nonprofit collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues/associations and business partners from across the country, engaged in fundraising activities to benefit 170 Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals. Credit unions are the 3rd largest corporate sponsor of CMN Hospitals!
Joe Dearborn, Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships for Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals, has been supporting the CU4Kids program for eight years. "We are excited to partner with CU Social Good to help credit unions share the wonderful ways they are helping their local Childrens Miracle Network Hospital" says Dearborn. "As the stories on CU Social Good clearly display, credit unions are truly about people helping people, and we are proud and honored to benefit from their generosity and commitment to their communities."
Robbie Thompson, President/CEO of CUAD is also pleased with the partnership. "The support Credit Unions for Kids gives to Children's Hospitals is truly remarkable" says Thompson. "It is very rewarding for us to provide a way through CU Social Good to tell the great stories about credit unions helping Credit Unions for Kids. Hopefully these stories will encourage even more in our industry to support this great organization"
