Black Hills FCU Employees Raise Funds for Local Nonprofits

Rapid City, S.D. – In January, Black Hills Federal Credit Union’s employees organized numerous fundraisers for nonprofits across South Dakota. In total, they donated more than $3,375 to local, charitable organizations working to improve lives in their community.
As part of their fundraising efforts, employees purchased 105 Tough Enough to Wear Pink t-shirts and raised $1,875 for cancer patients at the John T. Vucurevich Regional Cancer Care Institute at Rapid City Regional Hospital. BHFCU also donated $1,000 in to the Capital Area United Way and $500 in employee raised funds to the Community Reward Fund.
“BHFCU’s employees are passionate about making a difference in the communities we serve,” said Dawn Erk, chair of BHFCU’s Community Action Team project to benefit the Regional Cancer Care Institute. “I’m proud to see the amazing generosity and support of our employees for the patients and team at the Regional Cancer Care Institute.”
This February, BHFCU’s employees and members are participating in Community Action Team projects to benefit Feeding South Dakota and Valentine’s for Vets.
