Red River Chapter Donates to Gigi's Playhouse

Fargo, ND - In December, The Red River Chapter raised $2,420 for the local Gigi’s Playhouse through their Irish Auction at their annual Holiday Social. Gigi’s Playhouse is a national organization with over 33 locations in the United States and Mexico. The focus of Gigi’s is to provide free, life-changing therapeutic, educational and career training programs for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. The Red River Chapter Board was invited to the Fargo GiGi's location on Feb 16th, 2018 for a tour and to learn more about where their donations go. The chapter was very happy to learn that 97% of their donations stay at the Fargo location where they are looking to expand the programs that Gigi's offers. Future plans include providing the Gigi University program that helps provide career education for Down Syndrome Adults and works with local businesses to set up internships for these participants.
