MAX Credit Union Honors Community Organizations That Make a Difference

MONTGOMERY, AL (February 1, 2018) – On February 1, MAX held its 15th Annual MAX Community Reception. The MAX Community Reception is an annual event that brings together business, political, and community leaders to celebrate community successes and recognize organizations and individuals who have made a significant difference in the quality of life in Central and East Alabama.
Hope Inspired Ministries invests time in individuals’ lives by providing a relational program for men and women who are low-skilled, poorly educated, and/or chronically unemployed. Hope Inspired Ministries trains their students through a 9-week job training program that teaches them how to learn, work, and become self-sufficient. Their ultimate goal is to honor God by helping each student find and use their God given gifts and abilities in their lives.
Valiant Cross Academy, located in downtown Montgomery, is a school based on Christian principles and provides its students with an opportunity to grow personally and academically. Valiant Cross Academy is an all-male private school focused on the academic success of its students. Teaching their scholars valuable lessons and skills to become productive citizens is their ultimate goal.
MAX honored Hope Inspired Ministries and Valiant Cross Academy for their efforts in contributing to a better River Region Community. Along with the MAX Community Achievement Award, MAX was also honored to present Hope Inspired Ministries and Valiant Cross Academy with a check for $3,000 to further support both organizations efforts.
Previous recipients of the MAX Community Achievement Award include the Montgomery Chamber Convention and Visitor Bureau, Montgomery Area Council on Aging, the Junior League of Montgomery, Central Alabama Sports Commission, EMERGE Montgomery, Montgomery Area Nontraditional Equestrians (MANE), the Joy to Life Foundation, Pastor Edward Nettles, Sr., the Montgomery Biscuits, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing of Alabama, the 754th Electronic Systems Group, the Joint Forces Headquarters Alabama National Guard, the Alabama Wildlife Federation and the Montgomery Campus of Troy University.
