Hanscom AFB, MA (February 16, 2018) – Hanscom Federal Credit Union recently donated $5,000 to the Lowell High School Air Force JROTC Red Raider Drill Team. The donation will be used to fund a trip for the drill team to attend the Air Force National Drill Meet. The meet takes place this March in Dayton, Ohio.
“Over three dozen Air Force JROTC drill teams from around the country participate in this competition. This is an impressive and talented group of young men and women,” said Hanscom FCU Chairman of the Board Paul Marotta. “They represent Lowell High School, the City of Lowell, and New England, and we’re proud to support their efforts.”
In 2017, the group was the only team from New England to compete in the Air Force National Drill Meet. They competed in both the Armed and the Unarmed divisions, and both teams were named Air Force National Champions.
This is the tenth year that Hanscom Federal Credit Union has supported the Lowell High School Air Force JROTC Red Raider Drill Team in the Air Force National Drill Meet.
