Last Saturday, Sky FCU participated in Bozeman's annual Community Connect 2018. The event is open to the public, but is focused on helping and supporting veterans and the homeless in the Bozeman area -- connecting them with free services and resources. The Bozeman HRDC has coordinated the event for ten years now, but it wasn't until this year that one of the planners -- Chris Bauer, HRDC board member -- thought of adding a financial component to the event. Chris had just joined Sky FCU staff last year as HR manager, and she was pretty sure the credit union would be excited. She was right! Sky happily jumped on board and was one of 25 community programs that set up a booth and provided prizes ... Sky's booth was especially popular because they had a "guessing jar" full of money to give away to the person whose guess came closest to the amount in the jar (the winner was only 33¢ off). After the event, Chris said the Sky employees who staffed the booth "had a great time" and discovered new ways to support the community.
