MIDDLETON, Wis. (Jan. 25, 2018) — UW Credit Union and the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District are pleased to announce the grand opening of a UW Credit Union branch and ATM at Middleton High School. This first high school branch location of UW Credit Union will offer convenient access to students and families, staff and faculty. In partnership with the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District (MCPASD), UW Credit Union will provide financial education seminars to students, faculty and staff, as well as support the high school’s financial literacy curriculum.
Located at 2100 Bristol Street in Middleton, the branch will be open Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on regular school days for students, faculty and staff of Middleton High School and Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. A surcharge-free ATM will also be available.
“This partnership demonstrates our ongoing commitment to financial literacy,” says UW Credit Union President & CEO Paul Kundert. “We’re delighted to provide students the tools and programming to help reinforce their financial education.” Areas of focus for the partnership include: encouraging students to engage in financial literacy and sound financial management practices, extending outreach to under-represented students and families, and delivering financial services in a convenient and welcoming environment.
“The financial education programs to be featured at the Middleton High School branch are an example of our commitment to help ensure the financial wellbeing of students,” says UW Credit Union Director of Community Partnerships, Jaimes Johnson. Through the partnership, students can participate in internships that will include hands-on opportunities to manage branch operations, develop marketing campaigns and shadow credit union employees.
