CMCCU Raises Nearly $14,000 for Children's Mercy Hospital
January 22, 2018
Central Missouri Community Credit Union (CMCCU) is proud to announce that they exceeded their goal and raised $13,815 to donate to Children’s Mercy Hospital of Kansas City. CMCCU presented the check to Erica Logan on behalf of Children’s Mercy on January 10th, 2018.
Each year CMCCU chooses to work with different non-profit organizations to make a difference in their communities through fundraising and volunteering. In 2017 employees of CMCCU voted for Children’s Mercy Hospital to be their charity of choice. Children’s Mercy Hospital is a non-profit hospital that has served the area for over 120 years. They believe kids come first and the doctors and staff work diligently to make sure to make a difference for all children. Children’s Mercy’s mission for kids and their community made it an easy choice for CMCCU.
The initial goal was set at $8,000, and was exceeded by $5,815. Each of the three branches of CMCCU participated and worked together by hosting various fundraisers throughout the year. Some of those efforts included bake sales, raffles, T-shirt sales, and many of the donations were received individually from employees and members of the credit union. Employees also donated their time to organize and host a chili dinner and raffle event.
CMCCU will continue working towards helping various organizations as a way of giving back to our communities. CMCCU is a full service credit union with a vision of providing financial happiness. For more information, visit www.cmccreditunion.org.
