Credit Union donates $1,150 to Botetourt Education Foundation ...

Freedom First Credit Union is proud to announce donations of $1,150.00 to the Botetourt County Public Schools Educational Foundation, Inc., The donations were raised during a grand opening initiative the Credit Union ran at its new Daleville branch. The Botetourt Education Foundation supports student participation in various competitions and programs through scholarships, and sponsors the Botetourt County Spelling Bee. The BEF also runs an auto dealership for Botetourt Technical Education Center and has built several homes. "We are honored to participate in the Grand Opening with Freedom First," said BEF president Bob Patterson. The organization will use the funds to help develop a high-tech welding lab at BTEC. "Freedom First goes beyond the occasional donation to fully partner with nonprofits and other organizations throughout our service area," says Phillips. "Were going to be in Botetourt County for a long time and we look forward to deepening our relationships with the Botetourt Resource Center and the Botetourt Education Foundation to help them maximize their impact in the community."
