ORNL FCU Donates $5k and 75 Volunteer Hours to Second Harvest

During the “Double Your Donation” event at Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, ORNL Federal Credit Union employees donated their time and money in more ways than one. With a goal of $600,000, Second Harvest set out to raise over $300,000 to be matched by their generous corporate sponsors. ORNL FCU contributed $5,000 to the cause and their team of employees worked a combined 75 volunteer hours collecting donations over the phone and sorting food donations in the warehouse.
At the end of the day, Second Harvest was able to raise a total of $631,276 which will provide the East Tennessee area with over 1.8 million meals!
