Huron, SD - “Casual for a Cause” is a series of events the staff at M-O Federal Credit Union are passionate about. For one week each quarter, staff get to wear jeans to work by making a monetary donation to a worthwhile cause. This year, they choose the Salvation Army Angel Tree and Santa for a Senior. The Salvation Army Angel Tree collects clothing and toy items for children in need. Santa for a Senior holds a similar mission, but provides gifts for the elderly – very often being items they need on a day-to-day basis. Items purchased ranged from lotion, clothing, kitchen items, crafting supplies, as well as a few rolls of wrapping paper to give the gifts that special Christmas magic to the people opening them. With the funds raised M-O FCU staff were able to purchase items for three children and five seniors. Pictured with the items are staff members Amy Waldner, Tiffanie Kouf, Gail Broer, Kristi Neuharth, Deanna Decker and Jeanie King.
