People's Credit Union Supports Salvation Army's Angel Tree
December 18, 2017
People's Credit Union was happy to once again participate in the Rhode Island Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program, which was coordinated by the Credit Union's Community Enhancement Committee. The program provides new clothing and or toys for families with children. Angel Trees with tags were set up in the lobbies of all six People's Credit Union branches, where employees and members were invited to select a gift tag for a child. Gifts were purchased and brought back to the Credit Union where the Salvation Army could then pick up and distribute.
Major Steven Stoops, State Coordinator for Rhode Island Salvation Army, stated, "This year, Salvation Army will present Christmas toys to 450 children. Without People's Credit Union's participation in The Angel Tree program, we could not make it happen. Thank you so much for your ongoing participation throughout the years. Your efforts make Christmas time for many children and families in our community more joyful and happy."
People's Credit Union extends their utmost gratitude to everyone who donated to a deserving child this holiday season
