St. Louis, MO (December 8, 2017) – Giving back to the community is something First Community Credit Union prides itself on. Each month a different organization is selected that employees can contribute a monetary donation to. In exchange, they can participate in wearing jeans to work on a designated day.

Nurses for Newborns was selected for the 2017 holiday season. Not only did the staff contribute financially, but they also brought in 100 brand new coats for babies and toddlers. With the generous financial contributions, First Community was able to provide Nurses for Newborns with everyday supplies such as diapers and wipes. As a surprise to the organization’s staff, and to make sure that no child was left empty handed Christmas morning, toys were loaded up underneath their Christmas tree for nurses to allocate to the families they take care of.

First Community President and CEO, Glenn Barks applauds his staff for their generosity. “Our employees give to different organizations throughout the year and always step it up during the holiday season. It’s great to see them coming together as a company to support a great organization and our community”.
