Santa and Mrs. Claus returned to Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU) for the sixth consecutive year on Saturday, Dec. 2. They took center stage at MVCU's annual 'We Love Santa' Party, held at the credit union's Corporate Office in Lawrence, Mass.

MVCU's headquarters was transformed into Santa's Village and workshop as nearly 150 children, accompanied by family members, attended this year's party. They were treated to cookies in Mrs. Claus' kitchen, played reindeer games and won prizes, rocked around the Christmas tree, and created crafts in Santa's workshop.

The highlight, as always, was meeting Santa himself. Each child had their turn to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas, as well as pose with him for a picture.

The Santa Party is organized and staffed by a spirited team of credit union volunteers.  Team leader Debbee Herron looks forward to planning the party every year, "I just love doing it for the kids. Their little faces couldn't be more precious when they see Santa and all of the special holiday treats we have for them."

The event was free to the public. Non-perishable food items were collected and donated to Neighbors in Need, a food bank located in Lawrence, MA.
