East River FCU Adopts Remainder of Angel Tree Ornaments
December 12, 2017
Madison, SD - The East River FCU team did a little holiday shopping this month to fulfill the wishes of children in the community. After hearing that there were several Angel Tree ornaments left to collect, the team set out to adopt them all. Additionally, there were angels left on the Madison Care & Rehabilitation tree at the local Shopko store, and the East River FCU team adopted those as well. Overall, the credit union donation exceeded $500.
“Our team at East River FCU embraces the mission of all credit unions, which is People Helping People,” stated Penni Groce, Marketing Specialist. “The staff couldn’t stand the idea of children in need going without gifts this Christmas. We are grateful for the Angel Tree program and all of the community members that support it each year.”
The Angel Tree program is organized through the Lake County Food Pantry and provides gifts for hundreds of area children annually.
