Burlington, VT – On Saturday, November 18th, Vermont Federal Credit Union was the presenting sponsor of the Feed Your Neighbor Food Drive to benefit the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf.

Vermont Federal Credit Union joined radio stations 99.9 The Buzz and 106.7 WIZN at Costco in Colchester to support the Feed Your Neighbor Food Drive for the 10th consecutive year. Credit Union staff spent the day collecting non-perishable food items as well as cash donations to benefit the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf.  Staff volunteers provided suggested items to donate and those who contributed received reusable Vermont Federal tote bags as a thank you.

This year’s food drive raised 5,130 pounds of food and $610 in cash, equating to 1,830 additional pounds of food for a total of 6,960 pounds donated. This is an increase of over 650 pounds from the previous year’s event.
