Advantage One Credit Union Supports Local Veterans
November 29, 2017
Brownstown, MI— November, 2017 — Advantage One Credit Union participated in Movers for Military, a fundraiser organized by Two Men and a Truck and Kroger. AOCU advertised for the fundraiser via social media and provided drop off locations at each of their branches.
Members of the credit union were asked to donate non-perishable food, cleaning supplies and/or personal hygiene items. In addition, Advantage One’s management team challenged staff to donate as well. Employees were eager to take part and enjoyed keeping track of the other branches progress, trying to ensure a win for theirs. All three locations did exceptionally well and, after a week-long competition, nearly 1,000 items were collected!
When Military for Movers came to collect the donations, they were ecstatic to see what Advantage One had achieved. Michael C., an organizer of the fundraiser and member of Advantage One, stated that as a veteran he was appreciative of the efforts and was very proud of his credit union. It’s for that exact reason that Advantage One lives by the credit union motto of people helping people!
Advantage One Credit Union is a financial organization with $136 million in assets and three branches located in southeast Michigan. Since 1952, Advantage One has served the downriver communities by offering products, services and education to help local residents achieve their financial goals.
