Ferndale, Michigan – Credit Union ONE sponsored and partnered with the St.Clair Shores Kiwanis, to provide all third grade students in St.Clair Shores with their own new Dictionary. Over 800 children in more than 12 different Schools will have all received their Dictionaries by the middle of December. The Dictionaries also include information on all of the U.S. Presidents, States of the United States, World Countries, Maps and Multiplication Tables among many other interesting facts.

The books were delivered to the Schools and presented to each Student by both represenatives from the Kiwanis and Credit Union ONE. The Kiwanis have continued this partnership with the Schools for many years. “ We are providing educational tools for the kids” said George Alaska from the Kiwanis. “ This is one of my favorite projects. The kids and Teachers both love it” said Dr. Carl Papa President of the St. Clair Shores Kiwanis.

The presentations were scheduled with the Schools and Teachers, and the Dictionaries were handed out in the classrooms. “ The kids and Teachers were really happy we were there, and some of the classes started to use the Dictionaries that day” said John Kozich, Vice President of Community Relations. “ I was approached about a year ago on this project, and with our long term community involvement in St. Clair Shores it seemed like a perfect fit”
