Moss Point, MS. - SINGING RIVER FEDERAL CREDIT UNION, headquartered in Moss Point, MS, has once again committed to raising awareness and funds for Breast Cancer. The annual event "Bras Across the River" was held on October 14th. Thousands of bras were strung across the Moss Point bridge, beginning at Pelican Landing.

SINGING RIVER FEDERAL CREDIT UNION partnered with local businesses including the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and the Jackson County Board of Supervisors to make this event a success, raising over $13,000. The annual event donates all funds to the American Cancer Society where those are marked for helping victims & families on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and increasing research abilities to find a cure for this disease that affects so many in our area.

Jimmy Smith, President / CEO of SINGING RIVER FEDERAL CREDIT UNION points out that, “The Bras Across the River event is greatly successful in raising funds for local Breast Cancer awareness and support. We could not do this without your community support and the partnerships of many local businesses. Everyone should get involved.”

This year, SINGING RIVER FEDERAL CREDIT UNION continued to grow the fundraising efforts by partnering with more local businesses and once again offering their famous pink debit cards as well as the annual Bras Across the River t-shirts for sale. SINGING RIVER FEDERAL CREDIT UNION has served the MS Gulf Coast since 1953 as a local community credit union. They continue to improve our communities with events and partnerships such as this that we all can take pride in and support.
