AllyFed Credit Union Supports Beau Biden Foundation for Protection of Children

Dawn Sutcliffe, president/CEO of Delaware Alliance Federal Credit Union (AllyFed), New Castle, DE, sponsored a team for a 5K Run/Walk in support of the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children (BBF). Sutcliffe and her family, supported by staff and members of the credit union, participated in the event. Also volunteering at the event was AllyFed Board Chair, Betsy Cole. The AllyFed team raised $450 for the Foundation, selected to be the credit union's local charity of choice.
Susan Mateja, AllyFed board vice-chair, commented, "I am very proud of gathering the team to participate in a very important initiative for the 5K Run/Walk...I look forward to other opportunities to join together as a team."
The Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children was created to honor the life of Joseph R. "Beau" Biden, III, and to continue his life's work: ensuring that all children are free from the threat of abuse. It is possible for parents and other adults to miss the warning signs of abuse. The best defense is educating both adults and children on the threats that pervade our society. The Foundation is committed to protecting the most vulnerable among us, especially children who have fallen victim to abuse and neglect.
