LOWELL, MA – After the Dracut Food Pantry reached out to the community requesting donations to fill its bare shelves, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union filled its van with $1,200 worth of non-perishable food items, pet food, toiletries and other care items and made a special delivery to the organization.

David Paquin, Dracut Food Pantry Board Member, graciously accepted the donation on November 16th.

“We rely a great deal on the community and businesses for both food and monetary donations,” said Mr. Paquin. “The generous donation that Jeanne D'Arc provided will be put to immediate use as part of our Thanksgiving and Christmas distributions. Jeanne D’Arc’s inclusion of some pet food as part of the mix, will make our clients’ furry friends very happy,” he added.

For the past 10 years, Dracut Food Pantry has worked hard to provide food and basic necessities to Dracut residents in need.

“Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is committed to supporting local organizations that help our neighbors who are in need of assistance,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Credit Union. “We are happy to provide the Dracut Food Pantry with this donation of supplies so it can fulfill its mission this holiday season,” he added.

Dracut Food Pantry is located at 1934 Lakeview Avenue. More information can be found at http://dracutfoodpantry.com/.
