Unity One CU Sponsors Boo Bash for Community
November 7, 2017
Fort Worth, Texas— On October 28, a gaggle of ghosts, ghouls and goblins celebrated the beginning of fall at the Northpark YMCA’s annual Boo Bash, sponsored by Unity One Credit Union. The event, which featured a piggy bank workshop, carnival games and Zombie Zumba, was attended by nearly 350 families in the Keller-area.
The highlight of the event, a piggy bank workshop, gave children a hands-on opportunity to dress up and decorate ceramic piggy banks while teaching them the importance of saving.
“Hosting these piggy bank workshops helps take the fear out of banking for children. Teaching them that saving is not only important, but fun, is just one step on the road to a successful financial future.
Unity One is proud to have partnered with the Northpark YMCA for this event and we look forward to hosting more in the communities we serve,” said Alyssa Guillory, director of community and public relations at Unity One Credit Union.
While this year’s event may be over, scary good advice from Unity One is not. The public is invited to meet with one of Unity One’s certified financial counselors to make banking a little less frightful.
