Naveo Credit Union Raises $500 for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
November 4, 2017
Naveo Credit Union employees dressed up in costumes on Tuesday, October 31 and raised $500 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during their Costumed for a Cure event. Naveo raised funds at their branches in less than a week and then matched those funds.
The Costumed for a Cure event has become an annual participation at Naveo, one that members and employees have come to look forward to. In more recent years, the event has led to a competition between branches for collections on costume originality. This year, Naveo’s retail staff donned handmade Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story costumes.
To boost collections, employees were given the opportunity to trade in their business clothes for jeans the Friday before Halloween with a donation to the cause.
“Costumed for a Cure truly is a FUN-draiser that brings awareness and much needed funds to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Our employees enjoy getting creative to do their part in raising money for a great cause,” commented Rui F. Domingos, Chief Executive Officer at Naveo Credit Union.
