Credit Union Supports Americas Credit Union Museum

MANCHESTER, NH Americas Credit Union Museum officially renamed its third floor conference room the Service Credit Union Conference Center at a special dedication ceremony held at the Museum on March 27. The 1,800 square foot conference room occupies much of the third floor of the Museum and serves as an important gathering place for regional and national industry meetings, credit union planning sessions, and community programs such as the Museums middle school and high school CU4Reality financial literacy fairs.
Americas Credit Union Museum is a national landmark located in the building that housed the first credit union in the United States.� The Museum exhibits chronicle the history of credit unions from their inception in New Hampshire, their expansion and growth throughout the last century, and their importance to over 96 million members today.
Service Credit Union has been a staunch supporter and one of the founding underwriters of the Museum with Service CU President and CEO Gordon Simmons serving as Chairman of the Museum Board of Directors from 2001 until 2012.
