Educational Systems Federal Credit Union, Greenbelt, MD; has sponsored their thirteenth Millionaire's Club financial education experience; the newest at Springbrook High School, Silver Spring, MD.

Students at Springbrook High School now have a new, engaging resource for developing their personal finance skills, enjoying competitions with other schools, and performing an annual entrepreneurial project.

"With a core purpose of serving the education community, we are proud to sponsor the Millionaire's Club at Springbrook High School," said Chris Conway, President/CEO of Educational Systems FCU. "The program provides students with a hands-on learning experience that can be used to help them achieve their financial goals and dreams."

"Credit unions use a variety of tools to connect with and benefit students in the communities they serve," said Credit Union Foundation MD|DC Executive Director Kyle Swisher.  "The Millionaire's Club is an effective program to engage high school students and deliver personal finance skills in a way that will benefit them for the rest of their lives."

Millionaire's Club members at Springbrook High School are learning the basics of budgeting, selecting financial services, protecting their assets and identities, responsible borrowing, career choice, and preparing to engage in Stock Market Game™ competitions, with teams of students researching and trading stocks on a "virtual" basis.

Millionaire's Clubs have been growing at an increasing rate and as of this writing over 1,800 students benefit annually from their participation.  School Clubs are provided seed grants, detailed curriculum, and faculty/student materials at no charge.  Clubs are entered into local, regional, and national competitions such as The Stock Market Game™ and The Personal Finance Challenge™.  Additional support materials add a fun, competitive edge to the Club's activities.

Millionaire's Clubs have produced State and National personal finance champions as well as first-place Stock Market Game™ competitors.
