Members First Credit Union Donates $7,500 for After School Programs

Members First Credit Union (MFCU) recently donated $7,500 to the Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) through its sponsorship of the Footrace for the Fallen 5K Road Race on Oct. 15. The proceeds from the race honoring fallen police officers benefit MPAL, a nonprofit providing after-school and summer athletic and recreational activities to Manchester-area youth.
MFCU, headquartered in Manchester, is a major sponsor of the annual race.
"It was great to see a record number of runners and walkers come out to support area youth and honor our city's police officers," said Bruce Leighton, MFCU president/CEO. "We are extremely proud to sponsor this annual event, and grateful for the dedicated service of the men and women in uniform who serve our community."
