Naveo Credit Union raises $1,500 for Boston Children’s Hospital through the Miracle Jeans Day initiative.
(Somerville, MA) For the seventh consecutive year, Naveo Credit Union participated in the Miracle Jeans Day initiative to raise funds for Boston Children’s Hospital, the local Miracle Network hospital. During the month of September, Naveo joined hundreds of organizations and raised $1,500 from employees and members. Naveo then matched the employee donations.
Naveo participated in the Miracle Jeans Day initiative on Wednesday, September 13 by trading in their business attire for jeans and their favorite New England sports team tee shirt in exchange for a donation to Boston Children’s Hospital. To raise additional funds, Naveo extended employee jeans day to all Fridays throughout the month of September. During the donation period, branches were equipped with canisters to collect donations from members.
“The generosity of our members and employees year-after-year is a true demonstration of the credit union motto of “people helping people. Miracle Jeans Day continues to be our number one fundraiser during the year and one that we know makes a direct impact by providing medical needs to children in our community,” commented Rui Domingos, Chief Executive Officer of Naveo Credit Union.
Miracle Jeans Day is a fundraising and awareness initiative for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals to fund life-saving medical research for the treatment of their patients. The initiative is credited with raising over $300,000 just last year to fund life-saving medical needs at 170 hospitals throughout the country. Naveo has raised over $12,000 in the last seven years of participation.
