Central One Federal Credit Union of Shrewsbury, Mass. recently presented students and staff at Shrewsbury High School (SHS) with a check for $20,000 to help fund the school's 2017-2018 athletic department. This is the fifth year that Central One has funded the SHS athletic program.

"We continue to be very grateful for Central One's generosity," commented Shrewsbury School Superintendent Dr. Joseph Sawyer. "This donation helps our teams purchase equipment and other items that they need."

Just like Sawyer, SHS Athletic Director Jason Costa couldn't happier and more appreciative. "It's just wonderful what they have done for us over the years. I really think that when you talk about the Shrewsbury Colonials, you really also talk about Central One and their generosity to us."

In addition to making the contribution to the athletic department, the staff at Central One teaches financial literacy classes attended by nearly 400 SHS students each year and operates a branch inside SHS for student and faculty use.
