Hanscom AFB, Mass. (October 10, 2017) – Hanscom FCU once again helped future noncommissioned officers celebrate completion of Airman Leadership School (ALS). The class, held at Hanscom Air Force Base, qualifies service members from the Air Force, Coast Guard, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve to be supervisors.

Over five weeks, participants study academics, hone their leadership skills, and participate in team exercises. The course prepares Airmen for the next step in their career with the Air Force.

“Airman Leadership School helps young Airmen develop lifelong leadership skills,” said Paul Marotta, Chairman of the Board for Hanscom FCU. “Wherever they go, the students will have resources to overcome obstacles and succeed.”

Hanscom Federal Credit Union, headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts, serves 77,906 members across the country and overseas through 20 branches, over 100,000 service centers and surcharge-free ATMs, 24-hour telephone service and a web-based branch. The credit union holds $1.2 billion in assets.
