Nearly 2,800 Iowans shred documents, protect identities at Community Shred Days
Waterloo, Iowa (October 3, 2017): Veridian Credit Union hosted two free Community Shred Days at five branches across Iowa recently, where approximately 2,800 Iowans protected their identities by shredding 69,643 pounds of unwanted, sensitive documents. Mobile shred trucks from Onsite Information Destruction, Inc. were stationed at select Veridian branches in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and Waterloo on Saturday, September 30, and in Ankeny and West Des Moines on Saturday, September 23.
“We host Community Shred Days to remind our communities of the importance of shredding unwanted, sensitive documents,” said Trina Becker, Veridian’s manager of loss prevention. “It’s an easy step to help protect your identity, and events like this make it even more convenient.”
