Battle Creek, MI - Kellogg Community Credit Union (KCCU) has begun its annual coat drive to help the members of the communities in which they serve stay warm this season.  The drive will run from October 1st – 30th at all of our branch locations.

KCCU is partnering with Charitable Union (Battle Creek), TRAM (Three Rivers Area Mentoring), Salvation Army (Share the Warmth – Kalamazoo County), MACS (Marshall Area Community Services), and Bethany Christian Services (Grand Rapids) to help members of these communities stay warm this winter. Both new and gently used coats, hats, mittens, and scarves, that are clean and in good condition, will be accepted by these community partners, who will in turn, distribute to local families in need for the upcoming winter season. All sizes are welcome from adults to infants, and everything in-between.

“KCCU will be collecting coats again this year on behalf of these wonderful charitable organizations,” stated Tracy Miller, KCCU’s CEO. “Our Team strongly believes in giving back to the communities we serve and participating in these coat drives is just one way in which we can work towards that goal.”

KCCU’s vision statement includes “providing opportunity and lifelong value to our members and our community.” KCCU takes this statement seriously, and for the past thirteen years, have demonstrated their commitment by partnering with community-based organizations like Charitable Union, TRAM, MACS, the Salvation Army, and new this year, Bethany Christian Services.

Community members are encouraged to participate in these coat drives as participation is not limited to KCCU Members.
